The VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) incineration system serves as the core environmental protection facility for treating industrial volatile organic compounds, while the flame arrester is a critical safety device ensuring operational safety. So, under what circumstances must the flame arrester be replaced?

1. Overfire in the flame arrester

If a fire occurs, the flame arrester housing will typically show burn marks. Replace it immediately upon detection!

2. Purchasing a "downgraded" product

Some unscrupulous manufacturers, in an attempt to secure bids at lower prices, reduce the configuration of flame arresters by decreasing the number and thickness of flame arrestor discs, thereby compromising safety. This practice unknowingly leaves users exposed to hazards. Therefore, users should carefully verify the technical parameters listed in the flame arrester type test certificate. If any instances of "configuration reduction" are detected, immediate replacement is required.

3. Severe flange damage

If the flange seal surface is severely damaged and cannot be repaired, it should be replaced immediately.

4. The flame arrestor plate is clogged and cannot be cleaned

When the flame arrester disc is blocked and cannot be cleaned or repaired, it should be replaced immediately or the entire flame arrester should be replaced.

5. The safety clearance of the flame arrestor disc does not meet the standard.

If the safety clearance of the flame arrestor exceeds the design value by 10%, it must be replaced immediately.

6. The clearance value of the flame arrester edge does not meet the standard

If the edge clearance of the flame arrester exceeds its safety clearance, it should be replaced immediately.

7. The usage time exceeds the designed service life.

If the flame arrester has exceeded its designed service life (typically 10 years), it should be replaced immediately.

sum up :

As an important safety device, the flame arrester should be checked and maintained to ensure safe operation.
